Join the group for an exploration of the Coon Rapids Dam park in Coon Rapids. Coon Rapids, a city formed when Anoka Township was incorporated on October 20, 1952, its name changing to Coon Rapids; had a station of the Minneapolis, Anoka and Cuyuna Railroad.

Go north on Hwy 252 and cross the Mississippi River on Hwy 610. Exit Hwy 610 at Coon Rapids Blvd and go left at the end of the ramp. At the third intersection with a stoplight, go left, onto Egret. Those without a Hennepin Parks parking sticker can park outside of the park.

Restaurant after the hike for dinner or dessert.
