Join the group for an exploration of the open spaces, pothole lakes and oak woods of the Northview Park and the Patrick Eagan Park in northern Eagan. Eagan, originally called Montgomery, was incorporated on October 19, 1972, absorbing Eagan Township. The township, established by legislative act in 1861, was named for Patrick Eagan, one of the first settlers, coming in 1853. An early post office was called Eagantown, 1860-1862.
