10/4/2001: Geranium Park/Maplewood Nature Center Winter Hike (Maplewood)

October 4, 2001: Geranium Park/Maplewood Nature Center Hike (Maplewood)

Join Lois Laitinen for a hike around various nooks and crannies in Maplewood, including Geranium Park and the Maplewood Nature Center.

If driving: Take I94 east to McKnight north (or Hwy 36 east to McKnight south) to Hwy 5 (Stillwater Rd). Go east about 4 blocks on Hwy 5 to Ferndale (street immediately after huge Maplewood water tower on left). Turn left on Ferndale. Go 1 block and then turn left on Geranium. Go 1 block and park in Geranium Park parking lot on left side.

If coming by public transit: Take Metro Transit route(s): 219 . The closest bus service point appears to be the corner of Hwy 120 and Stillwater Road. From that corner, walk north on Hwy 120 to Geranium, then west on Ferndale. Applicable Metro Transit Map / Bus Schedule information

Lois Laitinen will lead us on this Maplewood hike which will feature Geranium Park, Maplewood Nature Center, and the ponds of Sterling Glen. Bring a flashlight.

We will rendezvous afterwards at the restaurant in Byerlys on Suburban Avenue, just south of I-94 between Ruth and White Bear Avenue.
