Grass Drags are Fun!!!
The middle sled is my older brother on a 1988 Steve Thorsen built Arctic Cat 650 Wildcat Formula III Racer. I might add one of only about a dozen built. It has won several MSDRA Races under the healm of Tom Martin of Lansing, MI and TOM CAT Racing. It has traveled all around the racing circuit including the Haydays event. I might add even being 11 years old and a 650, there are not many 800's around that will beat it. No, there is nothing wrong with your eyes, he is running against a 96 INDY STORM 800 and a 97 SKI-DOO MACH Z 800 with a 650. Picture taken by Bill Hale (ME!) in September of 1997 with a Nikon FG.
98 ARCTIC CAT ZR 600 EFI
SORRY, Its not vintage but my brother bought a ZR a lot like this one Last season and loved it. Its a ZR 600 EFI Limited Edition XC. It has treated us well. Along with the ZR, I ride a 96 ARCTIC CAT EXT 580. It has also been a great sled. I'll have more pictures later of most of our sleds. I still love to ride the old ones though.
Introducing the 1974 Speedway Blue Max
This is from an advertising brochure put out by Speedway. We have two 74 Speedways, a 295 and a 440. Both run strong. We found the 440 in unassembled condition at an Arctic Cat dealer in Michigan. They sure are great little sleds.
