A Brief History

The Midwestern Temple was founded in 1996 within the city limits of Winona. Since that time it has expanded, branching off satellite temples in Rochester, MN, Red Wing, MN, and La Crosse, WI.
Lorenzo de’ Medici, as the longest lived Follower of Set within the Midwest once claimed the title of Pharaoh of the Midwest and watched over this temple personally. He has since stepped down and the Midwestern Temple is currently run by Rebecca Longwell of House Medici.
Rev. Khra, as the second longest lived Follower of Set within the Midwest in turn claimed the title of High Priest of the Midwest. He watched over Red Wing before being consumed by powers unknown.
The Followers of Set have enjoyed many triumphs in this area. One of their greatest victories took place when Lorenzo de’ Medici was unanimously crowned Prince by the Camarilla Primogen Council of Winona. While this achievement only lasted for a month or so it demonstrated that the Camarilla of Winona had accepted the Followers of Set among them.
A second victory occurred when the Followers of Set unseated the sabbat who had taken the city of La Crosse from the Camarilla years earlier, forcing the Camarilla to flee across the Mississippi River to Winona, MN. With the sabbat routed and destoryed the Followers of Set now controlled a major seat of power within the Midwest.
As time went on it became clear that the Camarilla was growing uneasy with the Setite situation. They began to realize that they were surrounded by the Followers of Set who controlled three major cities around Winona. To relieve the Camarilla's fear of an impending Setite attack, Lorenzo ordered the Followers of Set in La Crosse to leave their city. His hope was that the Camarilla would retake that which the sabbat had taken from them. Much to Lorenzo’s dismay (or delight?) the city was not retaken by the Winona Camarilla, but rather a group of Anarchs quickly descended upon La Crosse and turned his former home into an Anarch Free State. Shortly thereafter it was discovered that hidden amongst the anarchs were very powerful sabbat packs; packs that plagued Winona until La Crosse was finally reclaimed by the Camarilla.
Despite the loss of La Crosse the Followers of Set were able to regroup in Trempealeau. This nondescript town provided the Followers of Set with the perfect atmosphere to set up the newest of their temples.
The first had been open to the public and was well known to all kindred from the area. It was the Trempealeau Hotel, where Lorenzo catered to the public and served the Hotel’s famous walnut burgers. The Hotel has since passed into the hands of other kindred.
The second is known only to the Setites and is named “Eden.” This temple still functions to this day.
The Midwestern Temple is now more low-key and better suited to serve Set’s agenda in the Midwest. It claims no cult but rather serves as a focal point for all of the Midwest’s other Temples.

As previously mentioned Rebecca Longwell now watches over the main Temple of the Midwest while Lorenzo has created a new temple just south of La Crosse. It's located in an old graveyard and is called the Ophidian Cemetery.
