Happy Valentines Day!

Have you noticed how we use the word 'love'? We say, "I love this book, this car, these new shoes." It's odd that we use the word love so much, but so many people feel unloved. Why is this? Because our love is unconditional. It's the friend you said she was your best friend, but forgot about the next week. Our love stops if that person hurts us, it holds grudges and sometimes it must be earned. But God's love is always willing to forgive, there's nothing you can do to make him stop loving you. He shows this love daily, when he gives us so many gifts each day. But his ultimate act of love was his death omn the cross. We spit on him, beat him, mocked him. His body was torn, and he literatly had stripes. But, when they hung him up on the cross, he said, "Father forgive them." Woa! That's awesome love. But do you know that kind of love, have you accepted his love and salvation? Keep reading to find out how you can do that today!

Why do you need to be saved? Because Jesus said so and He is the greatest authority. John 3:3 "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." How can you be saved? You must believe. To believe means to trust in or place confidence in what God says. God says you are a sinner and need to be saved. Romans 3:23 says "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Also, you must believe that only Christ can save you. In John 14:16 Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Acts 4:12 says "neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men." You must believe that you can't save yourself! It isnt by any work you do. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "for by grace are ye saved through faith, and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." You must receive Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. Only Christ can save you, and you receive him by askign him to come into your life. John 1:12 "as many as received him, to them gave he the power to becomes the sons of God." God is inviting you to be saved today! II Corinthians 6:2 says, "now is the day of salvation." Ask Christ to your Saviour today!
