Don't Forget To Remember..A Tribute To Aaliyah.
As you all probably have heard by now, on Saturday, August 26, 2001, 22 year old R&B singer Aaliyah Haughton died in a plane crash coming home from the Bahamas after a video shoot. She died instantly when the plane, a Cessna 402B, exploded on impact just 200 feet beyond the end of a runway at Marsh Harbour International Airport on Abaco Island at 6:45 p.m. Others killed in the accident included Aaliyah makeup artist Eric Foreman, 29, and Virgin Records representative Douglas Kratz, 28. Two other women and three other men, including the pilot, died in the crash, while one man was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami with serious injuries, he later died.
I find it very hard to believe that something that tragic could happen to someone within a matter of seconds. I was and still am a fan of Aaliyah and feel very bad for her family, friends, and also her fans. She died at such a young age with so much left out there for her to do. She was to appear at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards as a presenter and she was nominated for some awards. She had such talent as a singer and also an actress. I think she was a great role model for people to look up to.
