In middle school/junior high school, I got into skateboarding due to the influence of my peers growing-up. I would buy skateboard magazines (featuring Tony Hawk) and would hang these cool posters from them all over my room. I never owned a skateboard, but I wanted to be a "skateboarder". I would try my friends' skateboard, but couldn't get the hang of it.
During the winter time, snowboarding became the "thang". I tried snowboarding in the backyard of the townhouses we lived it, but couldn't stay up!
I've learned that I probably can't do these xtreme sports because of another "calling" in my life. However, I can still enjoy watching it!
