My Trip To Babyland!

Ever since 1983, when I first heard about Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, Georgia, I have wanted to visit and adopt a Cabbage Patch Kid in person. As a child I loved Cabbage Patch Kids and had quite a few. I've been a doll collector for a long time and in May 1998 I found a soft sculptured Cabbage Patch Kid at a doll show and from that point on I was again collecting Cabbage Patch Kids. In September 2000 I attended a gathering for Cabbage Patch Kids Collectors held in Helen, GA which is near Cleveland, GA. One of the reasons that I had chosen to attend this gathering was because it would enable me to finally visit Babyland General Hospital, home of the Cabbage Patch Kids! My wish was finally going to come true!

I arrived in Georgia on August 31, 2000 and we drove by Babyland that day on the way to the hotel, but I had to wait until the next day to go inside Babyland! On September 1. 2000 we were at Babyland by 9am and ready to tour Babyland and see the kids! I couldn't believe I was finally here! On the pages that follow you we see what I saw on my very first trip to Babyland General Hospital. Keep in mind that this was several months ago, so many of the kids you see have more than likely been adopted already.Enjoy!
