When you come in the front door of Babyland the first thing you see is a glass display case with some of the earliest Cabbage Patch Kids, originally called Little People, including Dexter, a prize winning baby for soft sculpture, and an early standing kid.

Also in the first room is the front desk staffed by a nurse who will welcome you and give you information about babyland and the kids. There are also some kids who like to hang out in this room. I suppose they are hoping if a prospective parent sees them first before any other baby that they will have a better chance of getting adopted.

Here is a rocking chair near the front desk where some of the kids like to greet visitors.
