The Piper Tower is pure 80's - a faux hi-tech design, finished with a transparently phony opulence, and possessing a total disregard for anything human. It is the worst building downtown for delivery guys. The loading dock is undersized for a major building. It has only a single freight elevator spanning its 40 floors, so waits far in excess of 10 minutes are commonplace. The main lobby works against you; one must actually learn how to navigate its counterintuitive twists and turns. It is also cheap, shiny, cramped, and just plain ugly. |
