Atlanta Motor Speedway

Rick raced his sixth ARCA/REMAX race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 9, 2002.

Rick qualified 15th, for a starting position of 8th row inside.

The race was set to start at 1:00 p.m. Rick ran in the top ten all afternoon, until a late race rub of the wall (due to lap traffic) that created a green flag pit stop. Where he had to change right-side tires and push inner fender back into place, causing him to go laps down. The race ended with a rain cancellation. Rick finished in 17th position.
