The is a Minneapolis Brewing and Bottling Co. Bottle. This bottle dates back to the 1800s. It has a blob top with a lightning style stopper. |

Very heavy Hutchinson top. Dates in the 1800s. |
Benson Bottling Co. Minneapolis
Another very heavy Hutchinson style bottle dating into the 1800s. The term "pop bottle" originated with this type of bottle. When the bottle was full a loop protruded from the top. To open the bottle you had to strike the loop. When the seal broke it made a popping sound. Hence the term "pop bottle". |
