We present the Club's activities for 2001-2002.
Change of Club's authorities ceremony took place on July 4, 2001 in the City Hotel in Tel Aviv, with the participation of many Lions and friends including DG Lion Shmuel Sendler and wife, Lion Osama Elimi and wife and other Ditrict Dgnataries, Club Presidents and representatives and friends.
Master of Ceremonies was PDG Shimshon Zelbiger. DG in his speach, praised for their work the IPP and Founding Pesident of the Club, Lion Touvia (Teddy) Goldstein and the incoming new President Lion Moshe Barbaras.
The Transsfer of the Gavel Ceremony from the Founding President (1999-2001), Lion TOUVIA (TEDDY) GOLDSTEIN, to the elected new President Lion MOSHE BARBARAS (2001-2002) was done by VDG.
Finally the participants where offered a meal and we must underlign the very nice friendly atmosphere.
IN JULY VISITED ISRAEL THE WELL KNOWN CHILEAN FOLCLORIC BALLET "BAFOCHI".ONE OF ITS PRESENTATIONS IN ISRAEL WAS IN THE SPORT AUDITORIOM OF PETACH TIKWA.
WHERE PRESENT THE CITY MAYOR, HON. ITZHAK OHAYUN, THE AMBASSADOR OF CHILE IN ISRAEL, H.E. MRS. SALLY BENDERSKY, THE PRESIDENT OF THE ISRAEL CHILE CULTURAL INSTITUTE, ORGANIZATION IN CHARGE OF THE PERFORMENCES OF THE "BAFOCHI" IN ISRAEL, LION TOUVIA (TEDDY) GOLDSTEIN AND THE PRESIDENT OF "DAN PAZ-ISRAEL" LIONS CLUB, CO-PARTICIPANT IN THIS EVENT, LION MOSHE BARBARAS, ALL OF THEM PRAISED THE "BAFOCHI" WISHING THEM A VERY GOOD STAY AND SUCCESS INTHEIR PERFORMENCES IN ISRAEL.
THE PUBLIC FILLED THE AUDITORIUM AND WITH ITS WORM APPLAUSES, STIMULATED THE ARTISTS TO AN EVEN MORE EXCELLENT PERFORMENCE THAN USUAL.
A CLOWN PERESENTATION WAS HELD IN THE SCHNEIDER CHILDREN HOSPITAL WAS HELD WITH THE PRESENCE OF DG LION CARMELA BAR-NOY AND PDG LION SHMUEL SENDLER.
AFTER DG'S WORDS, SPOKE "DAN PAZ-ISRAEL" LIONS CLUB (SPANISH SPEAKING) PRESIDENT LION MOSHE BARBARAS WHO IN HIS SPEACH THANKED THE PRESENCE OF THE DISTRICT AUTHORITIES AND THE ARTIST FOR HER NICE WORK.
MAY WE MENTION THAT THIS PERFORMENCE, AS WELL AS THE PREVIOUS ONE, WHERE DONE BY THE ARTIST VOLOUNTARILY WITH NO REMUNERATION.

In Cordoba, the town of Maimonides. Encounter with Cordoba '94 Lions Club. Visit to the Old City. Lirerary evening in honor of Lion Poli Goldstein; presentation of her recently published first book, "Poli's Stories".

Right after Europa Forum en Porto, Lions Israel delegation travelled to Lisbon to particpate in the Twinning Ceremony between Dan Paz-Israel LC and Lisbon Mater LC and Givatayim LC and LibonNorth LC.

January 2, 2002 - a) Lecture by former Ambassador of Israel in Uruguay, Mr. Yossi Arad, titled: "Experiences lived as Israel's Ambassador in Uruguay."
b) Lion Beatriz Pupkin prized by Lions International for getting two new members.

February 6, 2002 - a) Conmemoration of the Twinning of our Club with Quintero Lions club, Chile that will take palce in Quintero on February 17 2002 at 11:00 hours with the presence of our Club Founding Members Eliana y Sergio Schkolnik and Beatriz and Juan Pupkin.
b) Lecture delivered by HE the Ambassador of Chile in Israel, Mrs. Sally Bendersky, titled: "Communication".

March 6, 2002 - a) Twinning Ceremony between our Club and Guaira Lions Club, Brasil,
parallel to the one beeing held in Guaira.

Represent Guaira Lions Club, the Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Brasil in Israel, Mr. Roberto Coutignho and the Consul General of Brasil en Israel, Miss Rosimar Suzano.
Our Club is beeing represented in Guaira by the Consul General of Israel in Sao Paulo, Brasil, Mr, Medin Medina.
b) Honors to Mrs.Yula Gotgold, nominated by our Club as our Volounteer Personality of the Year.
c) Macelo Guerra's painting that was donated to the Club and a Seiko watch where raffled. The income is destined for the purchase of two handicapped children's wheelchairs.
d) Club's authorities for year 2002-2003 where elected.
