First Twining signed with
"Istanbul-Levent" Lions Club of Turkey.
Twining Act signed in Tel Aviv,
in four languages: Hebrew, Turkish, Spanish and English
on January 8, 2000.

Second Twinning, with Massa & Carrara Host Lions Club from Toscany, Italy, District 108LA.
Ceremony held on 23.10.2000 in the Grand Cafe Margharita in Viareggio, Toscany, Italy.
On this occasion the Lions Clubs of Livorno from Italy
and Hod Hasharon from Israel,
also signed their Twinning Agreement.
This double Ceremony took place a few days before the Forum2000,
the European Leonistic Annual Convention this time in Florence. Under this frame the International President Ln Dr. Jean Behar, in a very singular and extraordinary attitude, signed the Twinning Diplomas.

On the 27 of October added his signature to the Documents during the Forum2000 in Florence, the International President and other high Lionistic authorities.

Third Twinning with "Lisboa Mater" Lions Club of Portugal, Distrito 115.
The Ceremony took place on Sept. 10, 2001 at the Hotel Altis in Lisbon, Portugal.
On this occasion the Lions Club "Lisboa North" of Portugal and "Givatayim" of Israel,
also signed their own Twinning.
This double twinning ceremony took place two days after the EuropeForum2001, the Anual Lionistic European Convention.
in Porto and in its frame, IP Lion Frank Moore, in a singular and extraordinary act, signed the Twinning Certificates.

Fourth Twinning with Quintero Lions Club, Distrct T1-Chile.
The ceremony took place on February 17, 2002 at the home of the Chilean club.
Present where, besides the Club Members, HE the Ambassador of Israel in Chile Mr. Josef Regev; Representing the Chile Israel Cultural Institute of Vina del Mar and Valparaiso, its president and vice-president Karina Franco and Sergio Topaz; The Mayor of Quintero, Air Base Commander; all Lionistic District Authorities:District Governor, Vice-governor, Región Head, Zone Head, Past Governors, Lion Jan Kokelar PDG and his wife Emmy, Lion Sergio Valdivia and his wife Nélida.
The Israeli Club was represented by Lions Sergio and Eliana Schkolnik and Beatriz and Juan Pupkin.
On March 6, 2002, in the meeting of "Dan Paz-Israel" Lions Club and in the presence of HE the Ambassador of Chile in Israel Mrs. Sally Bendersky
the future Twinning was commemorated with a special toast.

Two parallel ceremonies took place on March 6, 2002: one in Tel Aviv and the other in Guaira.

Sixth Twinning with
Barrio Cordoba Lions Club, San Jose, Costa Rica.
It took place in San Jose
on April 6, 2002.
Description of the event sent by PDG Lion Tony Perez, President of CIRCLE, present at the event.
Last April 4 took place the Twinning between two Clubs, "Dan Paz-Israel Lions Club of Israel and Barrio Córdoba Lions Club of Costa Rica.
It was a Lionistic quality and cultural event.
The Israeli Club was represented by Lion Boris Fliman and his wife Lion Dorita Fliman and the
Costa Rican Club, by its President Lion Lucy Muñóz (member of Circle).
The ceremony was initiated with the National Anthems of both countries followed by the salute to the flags of Costa Rica and of Israel by PDG Jorge Vargas, who underlined the sentiments of peace, friendship and democracy that bind both territorially small countries but, great in fraternity and religious respect.
Followed a coral concert by Mozart Chorale, directed by Maestro José Francisco Víquez. The program included the Alleluya by the American composer Ralph Manuel;
"La Habanera" from the Opera Carmen by George Bizet;
"Toast" from the
Opera La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi and three pieces of Carmina Burana by
Carl Orff, "O Fortuna", "Fortune Plango Vulnera" y "Ecce Gratum".
After the signature of the Twinning Diplomas, the representative of "Dan Paz-Israel" Lions Club, described his experiences in his Club underlining the activities of service to the community, the needy, to the new immigrants and the sick.
It was a great opportunity to listen closely to the great wishes of Israelies to live in peace and harmony.
President Lion Lucy Muñóz, in her words, expressed the importance that this Twinning has for both Clubs.It will open a path to an interchange of projects and to friendship between the members of both Clubs.
With a cocktail that was offered to all present by Barrio Cordoba Lions Club, this important event, that originated due to the internet communication of CIRCLE members, was closed.
Congratulations to both Clubs and let us hope that this event will be emulated by other Clubs willing to Twin.

Ninth Twinning with Bitterfeld Lions Club, de Bitterfeld, Germany.
It took place in Bitterfeld,
on December 11, 2002.
The Twinning Event in Bitterfeld was part of a trip of an Israel Lions Delegation that we traveled to Germany and Italy between Dec. 1-21. 7-10 Berlin, where we had contacts with local Lions, 10-13-Bitterfeld, where the Twinning took place, 13-16 Naples, where the highlight was the Twinning of District 128-Israel with District 108YA-Italy, 16-19 Palermo where the Twinning of Palermo dei Vespri and Jerusalem Host LC took place and 19-20 Carrara where we participated in the Christmas Annual Gala Dinner at our Twin Club, Massa and Carrara Host LC.

In Berlin and in Bitterfeld the following Lions and Candidates participated:

heading the Delegation representing our DG Lion Osama Elemy.

The Gala Dinner that took place in the Mercure Hotel was a marveleous bilateral German-Israeli Lionistic event with the presence of civil, lionistic and diplomatic authorities and many Lions and Leos from Bitterfeld and other German cities, Berlin included.
With this Twinning, we Lions are creating bridges between the past and the future in the Israeli/Jewish/German relations.
