INVENTORY LIFE

Sometimes, we have bad days. Everything goes wrong. Our friends just have no answers. We feel we're slipping down. We think we're facing life alone. It all seems so uphill. The wind's blowing hard against us. We survive by sheer will.
We feel we've been forsaken. Our prayers seem to be unheard. We become real aggravated. We express it with our words. There's nothing to be thankful for we think. Life is entirely too hard. We think everyone has it better, and we're holding a losing card.

Now if we were to step back; take a look at our lives; see what we are expecting; see for what we always strive. Watch the news or read a paper. See the troubles around this world. People going to bed so hungry, on a dirt floor they lay all curled.

I think of the little children, with only one garment to wear; day in and day out. Some are even bare.

Cancer breaks up families. Drugs keep others from going home. People getting beat up by their "better half", while some people's spouses roam. Parents grieve because their child died; accidents or disease. Others watching their loved ones fade, from a nicotine induced wheeze.

I indeed now, take a step back. I look at what I've got. My loved ones are healthy and happy. That alone seems to be quite alot. There's a roof over our heads. Hunger we do not know. Plenty of clothes fill the closets. We have thick walls; don't feel or hear the wind blow. So now I see real clearly, compared to some, I am indeed very rich. I thank God for friends and family. I now offer you this pitch.

If you know someone special, who could use these simple lines. If it will help them see how much they have, send it on then. That would be fine.

Thank God for everything I have. Thank God for a healthy family; food on the table; clothes to wear; protection from the outside cold and wind.  And one more thing.

Thank God for you!!!!
