The real purpose of life is to love God and love our neighbor as our self.  Every one in the entire world is our neighbor, even our enemies, for God told us to love our enemies.  Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, even if they do you wrong.  This is turning the cheek.  If someone strikes your cheek, let them strike the other one, too.  Don't strike back to get revenge.  Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord.

Judge not, lest ye be judged.  After all, if you see a dust speck in your brother's eye, how can you remove it for him, while you have a plank in your own eye.  First remove the plank from your own eye, so that you can truly help him with the dust speck in his eye.  Otherwise, it sounds like the blind is leading the blind.

Even though Jesus is Lord and  Savior, the Lamb of God,  creator of Heaven and Earth, He came down to Earth as the Son of man, in order to lead His lost flock in the direction that will surely take them home.  This path is not always the easy path, for the road to ruin is straight and wide, with little standing in the way.  The road to eternal life however takes some real effort.   There will be trials, tribulations and pitfalls along this way, but isn't the reward worth it?  Indeed it is.  What is fifty or even one hundred years of following God's word, and His ten commandments, all His teachings?  It is a small price to pay for a pure life that will never end.

Why build up treasures here on Earth?  Rust and moth will consume them, and they will be gone for ever.  Why seek a big fancy house or mansion filled with treasures here on Earth?  It too will fall into ruin.  God is building me a mansion in His kingdom that is beyond my imagination, if only I would follow Him, and try to lead others from His flock home to Him as well.  Knowing this, I see I am only a pilgrim on a journey.  Life on Earth is the  journey and the final destination can be an eternal happiness and joy in my Father's house, or it can be eternal damnation.  Damnation is total and complete separation from God, my Father.  The thought of this scares me, and this fear of not going home to my Father is changing me more each day.  I will not worry if I do not find a wife to grow old with.  If it's God's will, one will be provided for me.  I do not concern myself with shelter,  food or clothes.  God knows my needs and He is faithful and just to provide.  He is my provider.  These things did not come because of money, or working at a job, and then purchasing these things.  These things I have, I have because the Lord wanted me to have them.  I thank the Lord, Jesus Christ every day  for what He's given me.  My house (mobile home) is not fancy, but it keeps me warm in the winter and cool in the summer.  I am grateful for all I have.  If He wills me to have a bigger and better house, it will be provided.  This I believe and know.  This is part of my faith.  I must believe in God without question, for His will is perfect, and mine is not.

If anyone would like to discuss our God, contact me by clicking on the page title above, as it is an email link.  If you intend on arguing my words, know that these words did not come from me, but from the Lord God.  If God is with me, who can stand against me?  I know the answer to that. Do you?
