Family and Friends

  We met on the internet,
  looking for chat;
  looking for someone
  who was all that.

  We took a little time,
  each other to  study,
and see if "you" were cool,
  or an old fuddy duddy.

I've been on a year this month.
  You still are here.
You're still in my addy book.
  I now know you're a dear.

  This friendship has grown,
  in so many ways.
I could chat with you for hours,
  sometimes even days.

Life now is not the same,
  when I don't find you on-line.
Our lives are like balls of string,
  that became truly entwined.

  I cherish each moment,
  with you my sweet friend.
  For each other we're there,
and we're friends to the end.

  Family you are now.
  I love you this way.
  You've enriched my life,
  each and every day.

  So I'm writing this poem,
since you just have to know,
I'm there if you need me.
You're family; I love you so.
