about us

the bride

Since I was a little girl, there was nothing that I wanted more than to get married and have my own family. Yeah, I dressed up as a bride and had weddings with my barbie dolls. My dream is finally coming true. I am 22 years old (I'll be 23 on the wedding date), and I'm happy to say that I've found the man of my dreams. I'm still working at Perkins, although I'm actively looking for a more stable job with normal hours. I love to do anything outdoors and with our 2 Australian cattle dog puppies (blue/red heelers), Wigit and Gizmo. I love camping and traveling...and pretty much anything else I can do outside.

the groom

Mike is a busy man. He is probably the hardest worker I have ever met. Mike (32) grew up a few miles down the road from my parents in Monticello. After he graduated from high school he moved out to Vail (area), Colorado for a number of years. His older brother, Jeff, lives out there. He loves being active. He owns his own carpet cleaning business, M&M Carpet Cleaning, which he started about 2 years ago. He also started a full time job delivering pianos for Schmitt Music. He doesn't have a whole lot of free time. He bought his first home in Big Lake on June 11, 2003. So when he isn't working he's normally home fixing something either in the house or the garage. Although Mike is a very hard worker, he'd much rather be out playing. He loves extreme sports and his toys. He also loves spending time in the water and just relaxing with friends.

how we met

Mike and I met on January 25, 2002. We went with Adam & Mariann Hansen to see "I Am Sam" and to Champs for dinner. I thought he was pretty cute right away. Mike says that he also asked Adam and Mariann about me right away. A few weeks later I was managing at Perkins and he came in to clean the carpets. One of the ladies I work with (Cindy) told me that he was Bonnie Witschen's (who I've worked with for years) brother. That was kind of neat. We started casually dating, normally just going out with Adam and Mariann or else taking Mike's dog, Wyatt (who died last May), out to play. Our first kiss was March 1, 2002, which we both consider to be our anniversary.

how it happened

Mike totally suprised me when he asked me to marry him. Although we had been talking about it for a long time, he told me that he wanted to save up some money and stuff so it wouldn't be for a while. I guess that he had been looking for the ring for a while, but hadn't found what he wanted. On July 11th, he was coming home from work, and he called me and told me he was going to look at a motorcycle that a guy from work wanted to sell him. He told me he'd be home in an hour or so. Well, when 2 hours rolled by, I called him to ask where he was. He said he was almost home and wondered if I wanted to go walk the dogs at Maria State Park before we went to dinner (we were supposed to go to Red Lobster that nite). So when he got home, we loaded up the dogs and headed out to the park. We drove down through the park and down to the lake. Near the lake their was a trail we desided to walk down. The trail went around the lake and then up a hill. At the top of a hill there was a bench that over looked the lake and the park. It was beautiful. We sat down and talked for a little bit, and I said something about how perfect that spot was. At that time, Mike stood up and started digging in his pocket and said "Good cause I have something I need to ask you." I didn't really understand what was going on until he got down on one knee and opened the ring box. Even then, I was a little confused. He told me some of the most beautiful things I've every had anyone say to me or about me, and then he asked me to be his wife. I was crying when I said yes and was having a hard time making the words come out. It was a time I will never forget. Mike shocked me and everyone!

about the big day

The wedding will be a small outdoor wedding. It will be semi-formal, and the most beautiful wedding you have ever been to. The monument is an amazing place that Mike took me to last year and I fell in love with it.

the wedding party

bride's attendants

Miranda Joy Brower, maid-of-honor: Miranda is my baby sister who I love very much. I've always wanted her to stand by me on my big day. She lives in Missouri right now and I miss her terribly. I want her to be here to help me plan my wedding, but I know that she is doing what she should.
Melinda Marie Pedersen, bridesmaid: Mindy is my older sister and the mother of two of my amazing nephews. I love her very much. She has a very sweet spirit and a very loving heart. I'm so happy that she has agreed to be a part of our big day!
Danielle Suzanne Brower, bridesmaid: Danielle is the mother of my other two favorite nephews. I have always wanted all my sisters in my wedding, and although Danielle isn't my sister by blood, I feel she is my sister-in-LOVE. I love her very much and can't wait to have this time together.

groom's attendants

Trenton Dolly, best man: Trent is one of Mike's best friends. They've known each other since they were young and his friendship is very important to Mike & me.
Jeffrey Harold Mohrman, groomsman: Mike's older brother Jeff is a great friend. He was origionally just going to host the wedding at his vacation home in Colorado (becuae June is a very busy time in the bike shop), but when Mike's nephew desided to join the National Guard, he stepped up and took his place. I'm so happy Jeff is a part of the wedding party, as this is what Mike wanted in the first place! We love you, Jeff!
Jamie Michalski, groomsman: Jamie is a very close friend of Mike's that he met in Colorado. Over the time that Mike lived out there, they hung out a lot. I met Jamie the first time we went to Colorado. He is awesome! He always welcomes us to stay at his home when we are in the Golden area. We are so excited you will be a part of our day!

ring bearers

Noah Arthur Landin Pedersen, Noah is my first nephew. He has such a gentle and inquisitive personality. I love him very much.
Andrew Michael Brower, Andy is my second nephew by only three days. He has a very fun loving and energetic spirit. I love to be around him.
Evan Dolly, Evan is Trent's only child. Mike and I have been very close to him since he was very little. We love spending time with him.

the officiant

Michael Louis Brower: My dad will be officiating the ceremony. I am very honored that he is willing to be such a special part of our day. I love him very much.
