I (Sal) was watching ABC Nightline and was touched by a story called "Arna's Children" (Oct. 15, 2004 — Tonight), Nightline tells the story of one woman's dream to protect the innocence of children caught up in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
It's Saturday, February 10th of 2007-I decided to write more about this land after reading more about the unfortunate conflict through a website. I want to be neutral in this on-going political conflict. I know each side has different view points. But, the most important thing I believe is that God loves both sides. He is not a decider of one side or one issue; however, I want to share this particular link to give some biblical historical background (see 9/11, Islam) ) that I feel is the root of this "conflict".
"The views of the Israeli right are well known: They want us gone. Less well known are the views of the American religious right. Senator James Inhofe, R-Okla., said: “God appeared to Abraham and said: ‘I am giving you this land,’ the West Bank. This is not a political battle at all. It is a contest over whether or not the word of God is true.” House Majority Leader Dick Armey, R-Texas, was even more forthright: “I’m content to have Israel grab the entire West Bank. … I happen to believe that the Palestinians should leave.”"
