On this page, you will find various events that shook our nation. This is my way of paying tribute to these people and making sure America never forgets. This page takes a little while to download, but it is worth the wait. For the desired effect, please wait until it is completely finished! Thanks! I hope you enjoy your visit here and will tell your friends about it. Please sign my guestbook and list your own sites so I can visit them.
Many things represent AMERICA.
"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country"
"I have a dream........"
Seven brave Americans lost their lives as we once again watched on television.
Do not stand at my grave and weep...I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow.....I am the diamond glints shining on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain.....I am the gentle falling autumn rain. When you awake in the morning's hush.....I am the swift and graceful rush....of quiet birds in circling flight....I am the soft star-shine which glows at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry....I am not there....I did not die.
"Where have all the young men gone? Long time passing...Where have all the young men gone? Gone for soldiers every one......."
The Vietnam war brought many emotions, both here at home and also with our troops. They fought with bravery but yet when they returned to American soil, they were treated like outcasts. They sacrificed much and many are still sacrificing with their peace of mind and their health. Next time you see a veteran, be it from the Vietnam war or the Korean war or any war, stop and tell them thanks and let them know that we appreciate what they did for us.
Not only have events help shape our country and our lives, but music has also. Below are some of my favorite musicians from the past. Peter, Paul & Mary, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Elvis, The Beatles. There are many more but these are just a few.
