Well I bet you want to know who made the Insane family The Simpsons, Well It was "Matt Groening"
Can we ever get enough of the Simpsons? Well, if you're here, you probably can't, either. I think this is truly a classic show. A somewhat dysfunctional family, but they still manage to get through life. And keep us laughing. Apu has got to have some of the best lines ... ie:
"Thank you for coming, and I'll see you in hell." or ...
"Silly customer, you cannot hurt a twinkie."
The Simpsons originally appeared as shot vignettes on The Tracy Ullman Show, in 1988. Soon they gained such popularity, that they got there own spot on Fox Sunday Night. The first broadcast of The Simpsons was December 17, 1989 and was shown in the 8:30pm to 9:00pm time slot until August of 1990. Then the show moved to the Thursday 8:00-8:30 time slot until April of 1994. At which point with the shows continual increase in popularity, Fox began broadcasting a full hour of The Simpsons. The Fox Thursday night line up oscillated over the summer, sometimes showing a full hour, sometimes only a half hour, and then The Simpsons were finally moved back to their original Sunday at 8pm time slot in August of 1994. That is where they have remained, except for a short two month stint at the Sunday 7pm time slot in January and February of '95.
