There was about a 2 month gap in between the announcement and the concert. That time went so slow. It happened on a Monday night at the Ft. wayne War memorial coliseum. Me and my friend stood 7th in line waiting patiently for our other friends to get there. They finally did and the four of us were so psyched.

Me and my friend went inside to pick up our backstage passes. we didn't have to go through security and were the first people in the arena. Imperial Teen was setting up. The order of the bands was Imperial Teen, Econoline Crush, 2 Skinney J's, Orgy, and Hole. we were in the second row of people during Imperial Teen. i have never felt that squished in my whole life....it was horrible. I couldn'r even enjoy the music. 2 of my friends got pulled over the gate by bouncers but me and my other friend stayed there in misery.

The next band was econoline crush. The lead singer was really hot and the band was great. we went backstage and met them, then came back out while 2 skinney J's were onstage. they got the crowd so wild.....they were kind of a rip off of the beastie boys, but they were ok. we went backstage to meet them and they were dressed in retro clothes and were really nice.

After them came Orgy. They put on a kick-ass show. we had to miss part of it though, because we were backstage so long. We got right next to the stage and the speakers were pounding. it was great. i gave my friend my pass to meet orgy so i don't know what they were like, but my friends said they were really nice and extremely HOT!!!

of course the closing band, my all-time favorite, Hole. it took about 35 minutes for Hole to come onstage. to occupy ourselves, everyone was making human towers and seeing how many people they could stack on one another. That got old after awhile and we started to get antsy. we were about 40 feet from the stage in the middle. The lights finally went out and i saw a being enter the stage. It was courtney. I don't know what i was feeling at that moment. All i know is that i had never screamed so loud in my life. They started out with violet and we had mass chaos. it was great i got so knocked around. I don't remember the exact song list but i remeber most of the songs they played. after the first couple songs she started preaching to the crowd about how we should all admit that we believe in God. i was very amazed. Then some guy threw a nirvana shirt onstage and she got very defensive and said "we're not fucking nirvana" and "it's not 199 fuckin' 3".

some were offended by that but i saw her point. She went on with some more songs. I clearly remember her playing heaven tonite, my favorite Hole song. I remember my face and eyes were swollen from crying and my throat was raw from screaming. I felt as if i was in heaven. then she started pulling people onstage. at this time i was seperated from my friends. all of a sudden i saw courtney grab my best friend's hand and pull her onstage. that made me cry so hard. i was just crying like i had never cried before. i remeber people from school were looking at me like i was crazy but i just ignored them. i was having the time of my life. in the middle of the show i started feeling faint so i ran to the bathroom during reasons to be beautiful. istayed in there for 5 minutes. i thought to myself...."this will never happen again" i can't miss this. so i went back out, found my friends in the front, and we all were crying together and taking pictures of courtney. we didn't get our cameras taken away because we didn't go through security.

courtney was right there, her hand 5 feet from mine. i was screaming her name. shortly after that......a stream of silver confetti fell from the ceeling. everyone scattered to pick up the pieces. i got like 10. by this time there were about 40 people onstage. between songs she started talking about how she didn't like jocks and she wanted the geeks and freaks. shortly after Hole ended. i don't know which song they ended with because i had to go get ready for backstage. we went to the backstage doors. we were getting all this stuff out ready for them to sign. they finally lead us back to the dressing rooms and the bouncer said "i'm sorry, courtney's not coming out tonite'. i was so dissapointed. we sat there and waited for the band for 45 minutes. talking to other people backstage. waiting and waiting and waiting for what seemed to be an eternity. it was 12:30 when they came out we all got in a line in front of this table. Melissa came out wearing a afgahn. she was a bit cold, eric was wearing balck pants and a shirt, and Sam was wearing a purple shirt and i can't remeber what pants. we got a poter that they all signed plus i had melissa sign my shirt....she put Hole rocks Cassie...love melissa. and i had eric sign my backstage pass....just his name.

when i left the coliseum i was just so happy but my body was aching and my throat was so soar. this was literally the best day of my life so far. the reason it was so emotional is because i had a friend die a few months ago and her dream was to see Hole in concert and she never got to....so we all felt like she was there with us. This was my dream.....and it came true.....how many people can say that? i feel truly blessed.....and i thank God for it every night....it was certainly a night to remeber.
