Ask For It
Ask For It was released in 1995. Since the material on the album dates back to Hole's Pretty on the Inside days,
the lineup is the same as at the time of POTI. The cover art features two slashed wrists that are healing. All of the songs except
a demo version of "Doll Parts" and "Ask For It" are covers. The first song, Over the Edge, is a cover of Greg Sage's song. The
second song, "Pale Blue Eyes", is a Lou Reed song. It is performed live on Ask For It. The next song, "Drown Soda," is
the best version of the song I have heard. Many people believe Kurt Cobain wrote this song, but credit is always given to Hole
for writing it. The fourth song is an accustic version of "Doll Parts." The fifth song is a demo version of "Violet." The cd closes with
a cover of Forming & Hot Chocolate Boy. The cd lasts a whopping 18 minutes.
