Not much is known about Caroline Rue. She joined Hole in the beginning, and did all the drum work for their debut album, Pretty on the Inside. As is shown on the record, she was a talented and powerful drummer, and exhibited this in early LA shows that Hole played. However, her career in Hole was short-lived. Soon after the release of Pretty on the Inside, Caroline left for unknown reasons, and whether the leave was peaceful or because of tension, I don't know. It is also unknown whether Caroline continued to persue a musical career or took a different track. However, Caroline was in the band from the beginning and helped Hole dig their roots into the music scene at that time, and was a vital part of the development of the band. She is often unappreciated and many written histories of the band fail to recognize her as the important figure she was.
