The video, which does not contain any movie footage (apparently Love thought that would be too tacky) was filmed at a soundstage in Queens and was directed by photographer Matt Mahurin (Metallica & Alice In Chains.) A band spokesperson declined to give any details about the content of the video but did say that Love is very "involved" in the editing process.
"Gold Dust Woman" marks the first track Hole has recorded since 1994's multiplatinum "Live Through This." The band is currently living in Los Angeles writing and rehearsing songs for their much anticipated follow up LP. While Hole has yet to confirm a producer for the coveted project (Moby and Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam) were the early contenders) rumors have Andy Wallace as the victor du jour.
The Crow soundtrack, which also includes White Zombie, PJ Harvey, Tricky and others, will be released in early July.
