My Body, The Hand Grenade
Produced by Eric Erlandson,
My Body, the Hand Grenade is a CD meant to chronicle Hole's
musical career. It opens with "Turpentine," Hole's first recording
ever. The next track is from the "Retard Girl" single, which was
released before their first LP, Pretty on the Inside. There are
tracks from the now-deleted single "Beautiful Son." There is a demo
version of Miss World, and a version of Old Age which is on the
Violet single. It opens with the chant from "Credit In The Straight
World," on Live Through This. The next three tracks are from the MTV
Unplugged performance on Valentine's Day, 1995. One of these tracks
is "Season of the Witch," a Donovan cover song. The song was performed,
but never aired. The last two tracks are a live version of Drown Soda,
and Asking For It. The CD is dedicated to the memory of Kristen Phaff
and Kurt Cobain.
