In Hole from 1989-1993

Jill Emery was Hole's bassist for about 4 years. Previously, she had played with the A sexuals, the Decadents, Sylvia Juncosa, Super Heroines (Observed Eva of the Super Heroines, "She was great.. she was all over the floor, I wanted her bad. Her name was Jill Emery. I thought, 'she has to be in my band!'" And thus began Jill's time with that band.) and currently is the bassist for the wonderful Mazzy Star.

One of Jill's hobbies was painting, and one of her works is featured on the back of Hole's debut album, Pretty on the Inside.

It has been said that Jill left Hole suddenly, and not on good terms, after a Hole show in L.A.
