Playing Your Song

drowntea@hotmail.com - PLAYING YOUR SONG: This song (very good, by the way)is about someone (a band) who got sold out and everyone loves them now..there image changed...It could be about Nirvana (notice I said Nirvana, not Kurt Cobain).

(insomniac9@hotmail.com] - "Playing Your Song"...another favorite of mine...the most explicit Kurt song, dealing with Courtney's anger and bitterness towrds his suicide, and leaving her alone, and his complaints about being a sell out, predominant in his suicide letter.."don't you dare blame me...they take it in and built a mall..."

[sweet_as_cyanide@hotmail.com] - PLAYING YOUR SONG; Definately about Kurt, no matter how many people say its not. Look at how badly Teen Spirit was overplayed. Nirvana was not looking for superstardom, they were thrown into it. Once they signed with Geffen, they got fucked. (Its fucking wonderful, they siold you out; basically every line that mentions the line "sold you out")

celebrity_skin@gurlmail.com - I think "Playing Your Song" is about the rivalry of Hole and Nirvana. When Courtney says "we sell for millions now, they sold you out" she's talking about Hoel outselling Nirvana.  "i had to tell you were gone, i had to tell them they were wrong" is about having to tell Kurt's fans that he was dead and having to persuade them that she did NOT kill Kurt.
