    From Robert Burns:

"In no particular order, here are some peachy memories I have.

  • The canoe float with the Ballwin and Hampton staff. All I remember is we had one. Good times!
  • Driving to East St. Louis with Mark Dymond on a Sunday to buy a keg of beer for his house party. Remember when you couldn’t even buy beer on Sundays in St. Louie!
  • Morrison putting a grill on the roof of the store and having a cookout.
  • Friday / Saturday night’s after the midnight shift watching Spinal Tap.
  • Riding in the back of Sue Otto’s station wagon while she did donuts on the ice covered Ballwin Plaza parking lot.
  • Morrison, Monti, Steve, the Karen’s, and everyone else who was over 21 when I wasn’t buying me beer. Thanks for helping a brother out!
  • Being the F.N.G and on my first week being asked to clean the employee restrooms immediately following Bill Huggins spending the better part of an hour in there.
  • Shooting Star concert at Mississippi Nights with Morrison, Pashia and Monti. I believe Pashia and I had to sit in the under 21 section. How we made it home alive in the back of Morrison’s van is a mystery to me.
  • OMRON credit card system – being told to “call operator” and then told I needed to cut up customer’s credit card. They sent me $100 and the customer was pissed.
  • Midnight shifts working with Stephanie and blasting “All the World’s A Stage” live as loud as possible just for the pleasure of disturbing her. Priceless.
  • One hell of a killer party at Lawson’s house…I think it was over near Meramec campus?
  • The Outfield in-store appearance.
  • “Twelve” at the register. “Twelve” in CD’s. “Twelve’ in Heavy Metal. “Twelve” “Twelve” “Twelve” (I still love the “twelve”.) Cheers! Robert

    Steve Lane's memories:

  • -The Modern Music Section
  • -Fred introducing me to the music of Ultravox
  • -Styx going Modren Music on me with Mr. Roboto
  • -Fred "Let's Talk" notes on my time cards always making me nervous
  • -Listening to tapes in the back office while counting the drawers after a "pull"
  • -Monday night 10 PM: Meeting
  • -Fred taking us all to the Pancake House across the street for breakfast one Christmas Eve Morn
  • -Fred's Christmas Party
  • -Lisa Stark and Krista (what WAS her last name?)
  • -Tim Bellamy and the English Beat "I Confess" (wasn't that one of Tim's songs?)
  • -A $20,000 day on I believe our last Christmas Eve open
  • -Karen Lawson and the Police
  • -Fred, the only person in the world who could make waxing floors in the middle of the night fun.
  • -Christina's tattoo!
  • -Needing to find a phone at 8:45 AM because Gale isn't at work yet.
  • -Echoing Christina's words: The best job in the world...the best boss in the world...the best co-workers in the world

Thanks for the memories everyone. THat's the reason I created this Museum.
