I no longer have my grandma.
I knew this day would come,
But whoever thought it would be
Such a cold and dreary one?
I no longer have my grandma,
Those soft sweet cheeks to kiss,
Those stormy blue eyes and silvery hair
I know I'm going to miss.
I no longer have my grandma,
Though here in the casket she lay.
No coffin could hold her spirit, her love.
She could never be bound by the grave.
I no longer have my grandma,
But in my heart she still lives.
The memory of her is still fresh in my mind,
Along with the love she still gives.
I no longer have my grandma,
But I am content to say,
I've been blessed by her so long that now
I'm glad she's with God to stay.
