Sonnet 5
I don’t know how to say that I miss you
or even if I should or have the right
to tell you how I often think into
the fog. I dream myself to sleep at night.
But these are things you should already know.
I think you do the same as me, but we
have no basis or reason, and although
we have made decisions, though they may be
the wrong or right, though we are both those torn
by what we will be and already are,
though we should wish this to take other forms,
I try not to forget this lesson hard.
I am not the one that bears your name;
you would do well to remember the same.
