Scripture Verses
Answer:
I want to preface my answer by saying that I would never want to say anything hurtful or discouraging to anyone, however I will not mince the truth or water it down. I will also say that there are sincere Christians, who love the Lord, in all churches. That aside, I can only say that a sincere Christian is a 'truth-seeker'. The Lord is their first love and pleasing the Lord, their first priority. True Christians do not let anything or anyone get in the way of them doing all they can to please our Lord which must include obedience to his commandments. The only time Christ said how we can show our love for him is when he said, "If you love me, keep my commandments". He said he came to fulfill the law, which means he came to prove to man, Satan and the whole universe that GOD's laws are just, fair and can be kept. He also came to magnify the law. Think about that. What does magnify mean. It means to make larger and clearer. How can that possibly be construed to mean his coming and sacrifice destroyed the law. That is disrespectful of GOD. There isn't a sane Christian in the world that would tell you that murder or adultry or stealing or worshipping idols is O.K. now that Christ died. Where's the sense in that! Besides, Christ said, "If you love me, keep my commandments" and "I did not come to destroy the law" and "until Heaven and Earth pass away, not one jot nor one tittle shall be changed from the law". He also said "he who says he loves me and does not keep my commandments is a liar". How plainly can He speak? Let's read the scriptures listed above.
Rev. 12:17 - "And the dragon was wroth with the woman (the church), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, WHICH KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST."
Rev.14:12 - "Here is the patience of the Saints: Here are they THAT KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND THE FAITH OF JESUS."
Rev.19:10 - "...(the angel speaking, says)I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship GOD: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
All of these text are referring to GOD's church in the latter day prophecies of Revelations.
These are GOD's words straight from the King James Version of the Holy Bible. They are not my words. I would not begin to judge or decide if a person is written in the book of life. That's GOD's job. I am not here to try to convince you to believe as I do. I am just sharing what I have found to be the truth of the Holy Scriptures and a great blessing to us all. I pray that you will not take my word for it, but go to the Scriptures and search for yourself. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you into "whole truth" that you may know GOD and be pleasing in his sight.
May GOD in Heaven be with you as you study and seek to walk in his guiding light.
