WARNING

This page is under MASSIVE renovation. Untill Tanghos, Norgan and Ethelwyn gets things all decided, this is extreemly temporary. Like as in, may be scrapped and redone from below ground up? "Get it?" "Got it." "Good."

So you think you want live at the Smith Hall? Well I can't blame you, you know. The SmithCraft Hall is a wonderfull place to be, regardless of if you're staff member, or an crafter. We all need to start somewhere, so here's something for everyone.

STAFF

Send a +mail to Tanghos, Coelle or Kasi and ask them about what position are currently open. A listing of our current staff can be found on the Smith List page.

CRAFTER

Most people joining the Craft as smiths start at the junior apprentice level and then work their way upwards. If you'd like to become an apprentice, you'll need to interview with one of the master smiths.

Minimum requirements for Smith apprentice applicants include:

1. You must have had a character on PernMUSH for at least a RL week. We want you to be sure the Smithcraft is what is best for your character. If you're new, we suggest that you spend some time looking around, getting a feel for your character and the game, and reading '+info newbie' online before asking to apprentice with us.
2. Your character should be of a suitable age to be an apprentice, which is usually between the ages of 12-19 Turns. Exceptions can be made, if you have a good IC reason to justify it, but if you're new, we suggest you stick to these age guidelines.
3. Tell a someone! Like the CraftMaster, CraftSecond, Apprentice Master, any master! +mail them, catch them online! Page them, but don't annoy them. That's a sure way to get ignored and rejected.

Usually, you'll be told right away whether you've been accepted as an apprentice. Sometimes it may take a bit longer, but you should definitely get a reply within a few days of the interview. If you don't, we've probably lost you in the mess of our real lives. :) Drop us a nice reminder +mail.

Once you become an apprentice, you should ask for an apprentice manual from the apprentice master. That'll hopefully help to answer the question 'where do I go from here?' :) If you have any questions about apprenticing, feel free to contact the CM, C2 or Apprentice Master

No Applicants for 'Instant Journeymen' or 'Instant Master' are being accepted at this time.
