Morton Salt
In 1911, the Morton Salt Company of Chicago, Illinois started an advertising campaign depicting
a little girl with an umbrella carrying a can of salt. The message was simple, "When It Rains, It Pours."
My kitchen is decorated with any items I can find. So far, I have mugs, signs, trivets, and a tray.
I'm not particularly concerned that the items be antique. It would be nice, but I have some reproductions.
Partner's In Crime
Designed by Mary Rhyner, made by Enesco, these are figurines showing a puppy
and a kitten getting into all kind of mischief together.
Lately I've begun to wonder if the series has been discontinued.
I only have a few which I received as wedding gifts a few years ago.
Having decided to add to that, I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know?
I have...
"Medium Rare, Right?", they're stealing a steak off the bar-b-que grill...
"One Down, One To Go!", they're chewing a pair of boots...
"A Fishing We Will Go!", they're eating the catch of the day.
Strawberry Shortcake
A popular series of dolls made by Kenner/American Greetings in the early 1980s.
These were 6" dolls that smelled like their name and came with a pet.
There were tons of items made off of this series. They even had their own Saturday morning cartoon show.
I have...
Strawberry Shortcake
Apple Dumpling with Teatime Turtle
Apricot with Hopsalot
Cherry Cobbler
Lemon Meriugne
Rasberry Tart
Huckleberry Pie
Dreggs with Sour Grapes
Purple Pie Man
