Dreaming the Dragon
Towering,
Grey as the morning dew
In a circle of stones she sleeps;
Enshrouded by that which is Kia,
Wings encircled comforting her very soul,
A petal of the immortal rose that is creation.
Dreams reflect in the pools of her eyes:
Flying, soaring upon the back of her's.
The wind that is Her breath
Supports them -- guides them
High above the waters that are Her life's blood.
Through the menacing mountains,
Her jaws and razor teeth,
Settling upon the woods,
The bark of trees Her very scales.
The sleeper knows that Kia will protect.
No fear enters here,
The stones a symbol of Her fingers
That point to the heavens and repel the unwary.
Wisdom flourishes here
Kia answers to all
Who know how to listen.
She tells a tale of ancient ways
Of respect and veneration
Of all that She created,
Of Love and Trust
In all we do.
She tells of celebration
For all of Life.
The sleeper knows that Kia will teach.
For those who will hear,
For those who will accept,
The Dragon is all about us
To protect, and guide, and teach.
For the sleeper knows that the Dragon and Magick are one.
