Frank Stuer, 93, of 1534 Oak St., died Friday at St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.
He was born Sept. 11, 1894, in Platteville, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Stuer. He was married to Maud L. Stacey on Oct. 10, 1917, in Galena, Ill. She died Oct. 15, 1980.
He was a member of People's Church, the Quarter Century Club of Yates American Machine Co., where he worked as a machinist for 35 years, retiring in 1960. He had been a Beloit resident of more than 60 years and was a veteran of World War I, serving with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Flynn of Beloit; one son, Robert of Beloit; three grandchildern, four great-grandchildern, four great-great-grandchildern; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Leighton of Lafayette, Calif.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceased by his parents and one sister.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Daley-Murphy-Wisch Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Billow, pastor of People's Church, officiation. Burial will be at Eastlawn Cemetery. Visiation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
