Between 1900 and 1905 two other faiths were trying to get followers in the community. The salvation
Army held meetings in the hall over the big store. The Seventh Day Advents held a camp meeting at
Valton and seemed to have some measure of success. A diary written in 1906 told about a meeting at the
camp meeting that lasted till nearly three o'clock in the morning. They also held serviced later in the
same hall over the big store.
