Worked as a model for Sean John, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Express and Neiman Marcus and graced the pages of GQ, Vibe, Glamour and Cosmo. Prior to his acting debut, Franklin attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

As a philanthropist, Franklin started an organization in his hometown called Vendor Group, which promotes breast cancer awareness. The group provides free vending machines to business and donates the money to breast cancer patients for alternative treatments. He came up with the organization in 2001, after his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Franklin established relationships with various vending companies and succeeded in donating large sums of money to the cause. Sadly, in March 2006, Franklin lost his mother to the disease and decided to move to New York to pursue his dream of acting.

Currently, he is taking acting classes at Black Nexxus Studios and HB Studios to perfect his talent.

In his spare time, Franklin enjoys investing in both the stock market and real estate, playing basketball and working out.
