THE WILLIAM HELMER BOOK COLLECTION

William Helmer, a former senior editor at Playboy, is one of the leading authorities on Depression-era crime and gangsters. He is the author of The Gun That Made the Twenties Roar, and the co-author of The Quotable Al Capone, Dillinger: The Untold Story, Public Enemies, Baby Face Nelson and The St. Valentine's Massacre.

Bill is thinning out his personal library due to an upcoming move from Iowa to a new home in Texas. Many of the books offered here are rare and were used in his personal research. Some still contain post-it tabs marking selected research text.

Bill is also offering selected notebooks full of research material that he has accumulated over the years as reference material for his books. A few of these are offered in the Research & Miscellania section.

The material listed here is just a small portion of the books and research material available. If you're looking for a particular title or subject, please ask, as it may be available.

Autographed copies of Dillinger: The Untold Story, Public Enemies and Baby Face Nelson are also available.
