Harvey Hickerson

Harvey Hickerson, aged 12 years, 11 months, departed this life on Sunday,
June 14th, 2009. He was laid to rest in a private, graveside
service on the afternoon of the same day.

Harvey was born about July 4th, 1996, and was adopted
from the Southeast Missouri Humane Society by his parents,
Betty and Dallas Hickerson, in January 1997.

He was quiet and independent little dog with a beautiful smile
and a sweet spirit.
He enjoyed going for walks and riding in the car.

In return for simple food, water, and shelter, Harvey gave perfect
love and complete devotion, willing to share in the fate of his
parents (whether good or bad).

He faced his final illness with calm resignation.
In the end, he let us know that he was tired of living...
and we held him and comforted him in his passing.

He was proceeded in death by his brother, Smokey Joe Hickerson.

He is survived by his adopted parents, Betty and Dallas Hickerson,
his adopted sister, Tonya Sue Meehan, and a nephew, Bear Meehan,
all of Sharpsburg, GA.
