Emerson Hello Kitty 13”- inch TV Features:
The Emerson 13”- inch Hello Kitty television set is the perfect TV for the hardcore gamer who wants to show her girlie-girl side and still have a great gaming experience. When you first see this television set the first thing you’ll probably think is, “Oh my Gosh! It’s so…PINK!” But don’t let this TV’s pastel pink façade fool you! This set is the perfect television for a long gaming session or casual television viewing. One of the things that really hooked me on this TV is the fact that it is TOTALLY Hello Kitty themed. I mean that practically everything you do on this TV presents you with the chance to see the pretty Kitty in all of her glory. Changing the channel? Prepare to see Kitty sitting pretty, as the flower channel number background changes color with each click. Need to change the settings? Hello Kitty is featured on the Menu screen in a variety of ever so cute poses. Kitty walks forward and backward across the screen as you raise and lower the volume. And if that wasn’t cute enough, this TV comes packed with a pink remote with Kitty blazoned on the front. The HK TV (short for Hello Kitty TV) features two audio/video input jacks: one in the front and one in the back. This is perfect for the gamer gal who owns more than one console or wants to hook up a VCR or DVD player to watch some anime on the side. And since the remote has a button for switching back and forth between video input and regular viewing you can easily go between the two rather than searching manually through the menus for the option. In addition, this TV has an earphone jack in case you want to (or have to) keep the sound to yourself. A really great feature of this television is the fact that it comes incorporated with the V-chip technology. The V-chip is an installed parental control device that allows you to optionally place password protection on the TV that keeps shows with certain ratings from being viewed. That means that an adult with the password has access to all shows, but minors without the password can only watch programs with the rating level that you set and below. For example, let’s say that you set up the V-chip controls and set a rating level of PG-13; shows with a rating of R or higher can’t be watched but those with a rating of PG-13 and down to E (for Everyone) can be viewed. This technology isn’t foolproof so it still requires you to keep an eye on you kids’ viewing habits, but this is a great feature for any TV! Now there are a few minor details about this TV that might make you think about the suitability of this television for you gaming needs. The things didn’t really matter to me, but it all depends on what you want out of your gaming experience. First, the HK TV is not a stereo television. It only has monaural output. The audio/video jacks themselves only allow for the input of the yellow and white cords so the red one from your system will be left dangling. The only other problem to me is (and this may only be a personal annoyance for me) the fact that there seems to be a slight delay in the TV turning on. This may be because of the V-chip technology incorporated into the TV assuring that everything is ok and your resident minor isn’t watching something that they shouldn’t. Just little things to me, but they may affect your decision. The Hello Kitty 13”- inch television is a great
television. Not only do you get a
themed television (which is a rarity here in the United States), you also get a
lot of features for a decent price. I
highly recommend this not only for Hello Kitty fans, but also for those in need

design it’s pretty good deal.
