I LOVE the way women are portrayed in video
games for the most part. Women like Mai
Shiranui, Storm and Seung Mina are portrayed
as strong, independent women
who don't need a men to protect them. I wish
I had their bodies (and the ability to where
the clothes that's on them!), talents
and strengths. The games allow me to have
their prowess and perform feats that
one could only imagine. Be open minded. If
you're a trekkie and not a game fan, then
picture games as a holodeck adventure. If
you're just a feminist who thinks it's
exploitation, then think of them as
the chance to live out your Xena: Warrior
Princess fantasies. (Uh, you probably don't
like Xena either so
scratch that.) My point is, if you're a
woman who hates the female characters, don't
try to force your
views onto every female out there. You just
might face some harsh opposition from your
own side.
