H.A.L.O. is a culture awareness group dedicated to the promotion of Hispanic culture around the southwest Missouri area. We are made up of students from across the U.S., and South America. Our members are all students of Southwest Missouri State University, and represent countries such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil, and many more. Although we're a very diverse group we love each other like a big family!
H.A.L.O. puts out a monthly newsletter called Nuestra Voz. It tells information about what is going on with our group and the campus. As a group H.A.L.O. works with the surrounding community from everything to new immigrants, to homeless shelters. Hola!! Thanks to everyone who helped out with the Garage Sale and Springfest! We raised some dinero and had the chance to share our culture with some incoming minority students.
Don't forget that H.A.L.O. meets every Wednesday at 4:00. Our new room is 314C in Plaster Student Union. Everyone is welcome!
