| My Great-great-grandfather William Henry Kingston was a farmer and basketmaker. I still have two of the baskets that were made by him, and are shown in the picture of him below. The first one shown is approximately 7 1/2 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches wide. The second one is approximately 11 1/2 inches tall and 15 1/2 inches wide. They are both made of white oak and in perfect condition, considering they are at least 100 years old. I am very proud to still have these momentos of his craftmanship. |
