In Dec.1945, he wed ALLEENE NOEL (HANCE) ORR. Alleene was born Aug.1922 in Arlington, Phelps Co., Mo.. She died Jul.1991 in Butler Co., Mo..

JOHN HENRY and DAVIE FLO RETTA (NOEL) HANCE.
She had 2 children by a previous marriage, to a Warner Madison Orr.

Richard and Alleene had 1 child together;
During WWII, Richard served with the Army Air Corps ATC, with the rank of Sargent. He was a Flight Radio Operator, mostly on C-47's. He was awarded 3 Bronze Stars for his service in the Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, Guadalcanal and the Northern Solomons. He went into the Air Corps in 1943 and got out in 1945. He worked as a telegrapher for the Frisco Railroad. Also, was office manager with the Missouri Division of Employment Security, and retired from there in 1987.
Alleene worked in a laundry-drycleaning plant for a few years. When they went out on strike she joined them, walking the streets in a picket line. Then for several years, she worked for the Missouri Geological Survey, where her job title was "stripper". (She used to love to tell everyone, she had really moved up in the world. Going from a "street-walker" to a "stripper").
Richard and Alleene lived in Phelps Co.,Mo. until 1969, when they moved to Butler Co.,Mo.
WARNER De VAL ORR
"De" was born in Apr.1941, in St.Louis, Mo. Date of death is unknown.
He has been missing since 1968.
