Amasa Laugrand Brooks (or Mace as he was known by our branch of the family) was born in Apr.1873 in Grant, Putnam Co., Mo. He died in Sep.-Oct. 1933, in Licking, Texas Co., Mo. Buried in Boone Creek Cem., Licking, MO.. His parents were THOMAS BROOKS & SARAH (ROOP) BALDWIN.
Mace's first wife's name was Rosetta SARLLS. Her father was Wilson J. Sarlls, mother Eliza J.. Mace and Rosetta were wed 17 Dec. 1891, in Putnam Co., MO., and had four children;

Amasa wed Fannie Luisa TUNSTALL, 3 May 1919, in Baxter Co., AR. Fannie was born 15 Mar. 1885, in MO., and died in 1968, in Hot Springs, Garland Co., AR.. She had 5 children by previous marriages;
