NameHere
Track No. 1
Length 4.57
Review It gradually fades in, and instantly you can tell it's a great track, especially when the drums kick in and there's a sound effect like a chainsaw! Very cool. The lyrics of this track are good too, as is the actual sound. The chorus is good too, with a drifting atmosphere, though the rock sound isn't lost. Near the end is slows a little, but this just adds to the overall grooviness of the song!

Name Touched
Track No. 2
Length 3.58
Review Begins with a country style acoustic guitar, and some quiet singing. Like many of the songs on this album, it features some singing from monks. It builds up after a while, and has a classic Vast feel to it. Very catchy once it gets going, and will stick in your head for ages!

Name Dirty Hole
Track No. 3
Length 5.36
Review Quite a long track, but the best on the album! Begins quietly, but with a haunting feel that continues throughout the song. Quite a sad feel at first, but when it gets going it sounds amazing! More singing comes in, and it sounds like prisoners in chains marching along. It really does sound very groovy! Huge electric guitar chords kick in and it all builds up to be a truly great song.

Name Pretty When You Cry
Track No. 4
Length 3.50
Review This has a definite 80s feel to it, and sounds very different from all of the other songs on the CD. The almost monotonous singing sounds good and the quiet melody is really cool! A quiet track, but builds up later with some more singing from the Monosteries.

Name I'm Dying
Track No. 5
Length 4.09
Review This begins with the monks singing, and is a slow, sad song. It's all about spirituality and dying. Makes you just want to sit and think. When is gets louder later in the song it sounds very groovy. This is also very different from the rest of the sings on the album. Groovy instrumental section later on, though it's brief.

Name Flames
Track No. 6
Length 4.36
ReviewThis has just a slow melody played on a classical guitar and a cello, at first. Very sad song, and unlike the others, does not build up. You feel like just staring our of the window when listening to it. A beautiful tune in some parts, and overall a nice song.

Name Temptation
Track No. 7
Length 3.09
Review Starts with a sound that makes you think of running in an American desert, for some reason. Or maybe that's just me. But anyway, the verse has quite a low singing part, but the chorus is very catchy with lilting melodies sliding around. Not as memorable than Dirty Hole or Here, but still a good song.

Name Three Doors
Track No. 8
Length 5.04
Review Begins with another haunting melody, and builds up nicely. Somehow it manages to sound both major and minor at the same time! A good beat to it, and some good chords. The chorus is great and you'd really like singing along to it! A very good song, with an original sound to it too.

Name The Niles Edge
Track No. 9
Length 4.29
Review Sounds like Flames at first, but then you hear some really nice Indian sounding chimes. Sounds like it's set in a temple in the East. Like many other of the songs, it gradually bulds up, but still manages to sound very different! The singher of Vast (Jon Crosby) shows of his vocal talents well in this song. Groovy!

Name Somewhere Else To Be
Track No. 10
Length 3.05
Review Some 'drifting' sounds first, but then the song kicks in, again with an Eastern feel to it. The vocal are lilting as in Temptation, with an unusual rythm and melody that's unpredictable but still incredibly groovy. The underlying melody adds depth to the already good track. Unfortunately as it's late on in the album I often don't get around to listening to it!

Name
Track No. 11
Length 3.41
Review A completely instrumental song, except for the monks singing. It is untitled, but this does not mean it's not worth listening to! It has a very good beat and sound, and is a nice song to kind of relax to. It's not as evil sounding as Dirty Hole but seems to incorporate features of each song into it - strings from Flames, chanting from I'm Dying, etc.

Name You
Track No. 12
Length 4.58
Review Runs straight on from track 11, and then begins to sound very space age with some groovy sound effects. Almost sound like Enya at first! A quiet song, that sounds a lot like track 11. There's not really much to say about this; it kind of makesyou feel like you are so relaxed you can't be bothered to do much! Very cool though.
