THE STORY OF:

CALVARY'S MESSAGE TO YOU ! ~ FORGIVENESS ~

Jesus was on the cross of Calvary approximately six ( man's number ) hours. There are seven ( God's number )statements recorded in the Scripture that were spoken by Jesus while He was on the cross. The first saying is a prayer concerning Jesus' enemies,( LUKE 23:34. )

The second word on the cross is an answer to the pettion of the thief on the cross,( LUKE 23:43. )

The third saying on the cross is a charge to the beloved deciple,John,to take care of Jesus' mother,( JOHN 19:26-27. )

The fourth saying came at the close of the period of darkness ( a super-natural event, ) one of the many that occured that day. It was a cry of desolation,( MARK 15:34. )

His fifth expression was in severe physical anguish,( JOHN 19:28. )

Then Jesus gave His sixth word from the cross - - a cry of victory, a shout of triumph, ( JOHN 19:30. )

His seventh saying was a cry of resignation as He said to the father, ( LUKE 23:46. )

HE THEN BOWED HIS HEAD AND DIED.

Many other supernatural events took place, including the darkness in daylight, an earthquake, rocks were rent. There was recorded in God's word that some of the dead were resurrected. This is a mystery, of which only God knows and can explain and after Jesus' ressurection, they also entered the Holy City and appeared to many. The Roman Centurion, observing the events of Calvary, declared that:" TRULY THIS WAS THE SON OF GOD. " Many others believed also. I have left out the scriptures from the seven statements of Jesus and only put where they are found so that you might look them up and read for your self. God's word said: II TIMOTHY 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a work man that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

IT'S UP TO YOU! WILL YOU TAKE THE TIME TO CHECK THIS OUT, OR DON'T YOU CARE ? My friend, Jesus was nailed to the cross with spikes driven through his hands and feet. The cross was a cruel and hideous punishment and a terrible way to die. I trust that the events you saw on this page will allow you to understand what your answer will be. Each soul must give it's verdict when confronted with the challenge, " WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH JESUS ? "
