MATTHEW CHAPTER 18
V:1 At the same time came the deciples unto Jesus, saying, who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven ?
V:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
V:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
V:4 Whosoever therfore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
V:5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
V:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Our children are the only earthly
possessions we can take with us to glory !
Some would gather money, Along the path of life.
Some would gather roses, And rest from earthly strife.
But I would gather children, From among the thorns of sin;
I would seek a golden curl, And a freckled, toothless grin.
For money cannot enter, In the land of endless day.
And roses that are gathered, Soon will wilt along the way.
But, oh, the laughing children, As I cross the sunset sea.
And the gates swing wide to heaven, I can take them in with me.
